The
Naval Amphibious Base at Little Creek, Virginia required
an upgrade of its fueling systems for dispensing and bulk
storage. Earthsafe designed and built a new fuel dispensing
system using fire rated aboveground storage tanks. A new
bulk fuel storage system was also constructed.
The
fuel systems were designed in accordance with military fuel
facility requirements. These included high speed fuel transfer
and metering equipment for receipt of fuels and for issuing
fuels into base operated bulk trucks.
The
facility required an upgrade of its fuel systems and oil
separators for regulatory compliance and to fulfill its
expanded mission as a reserve training center.
Earthsafe
furnished and installed new aboveground fuel tanks for boiler
and emergency generator service. Oil water separators were
installed at vehicle maintenance facilities. A new central
vehicle fuel station was installed for unleaded gas and
diesel. The fuel station was equipped with an advanced fuel
management system.
The
Veterans Administration required fuel system upgrades at
its Medical Centers in Omaha, NE and Fayetteville, AR. The
sites had existing underground fuel storage tanks which
did not meet current environmental standards.
Earthsafe
removed existing underground tanks and installed new fire
rated aboveground tank systems. The high capacity systems
provide fuel for emergency generators and boiler backup
fuel. The systems are all equipped with electronic environmental
compliance monitors.
The
US Border Patrol was required to significantly upgrade its
facilities. Efficient vehicle fueling systems, in compliance
with environmental regulations, were a critical part of
the facility upgrades.
Earthsafe
designed and built new fuel stations and fuel station upgrades
at (12) Texas facilities. These were accomplished on a fast
- track schedule through a streamlined GSA contracting procedure.
The sites required fueling for on and off road vehicles,
aircraft, and construction equipment. The systems were all
equipped with electronic environmental compliance monitors.
Electronic
fuel management systems were installed at all sites for
security and accountability. The fuel management systems
are linked to a site PC and have capabilities for remote
monitoring via modem.
