The new research campus for Howard Hughes is a significant investment for one of the largest philanthropic organizations in the world. The $ 500 million facility is designed into a hillside overlooking the Potomac River to provide a unique environment for world class research teams. Earthsafe provided a 20,000 gallon aboveground fuel tank to serve (2) generators of 2 MW capacity. Generators included exhaust treatment systems for pollution control. In addition the boilers were provided with a 45,000 gallon capacity propane / air storage and blending system to minimize emissions at the “green” facility.
